Welcome to Eveleth-Gilbert Secondary
Welcome Back from Principal Todd Griepentrog
Welcome back! I am so excited to be at EGHS this year as your 7-12 principal. We have closed the Gilbert Campus and opened the Pre K – 6 Laurentian Elementary School and all students 7-12 will come together for the last year as EGHS before Rock Ridge High School opens fall of 2023. We are excited to get this school year started and you play a key role in our success as we navigate through this year at EGHS! Let’s have an outstanding last year as EGHS of the Rock Ridge School District!
Students, we hope you have the opportunity to get involved with some of our extracurricular activities this year! Please join a team or a club this year. Your participation makes the difference in our school! Chad Hazelton is one of our Activities Director and he can be reached at 744-7712.
Much information will be available prior to the start of school and over the first few days and weeks of school, so please watch for it. Read, fill out, and sign all necessary forms as soon as possible and return them in a timely fashion. If you have any questions, please contact our secretary, Laura Tassoni in the EGHS office, at 744-7706.
I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer! 7th through 9th graders, please look for the information coming from our WEB leaders about orientation on September 1! Best wishes for a successful and rewarding 22-23 school year.

During the 2022-2023 school year, Eveleth-Gilbert Senior High students in Grades 9-12, along with students in Grades 7 and 8 from Eveleth-Gilbert Junior High, will remain at EGHS for one final school year. The new Rock Ridge High School will open Fall of 2023 at which time all Rock Ridge students in Grades 7-12 will move to the new building located at 1403 Progress Pkwy, Virginia. Here is a Q&A with a wealth of information about all of the building transitions and upcoming elementary attendance boundaries:
